There have been various posts on forums over the years asking how to make a mirror ball. This seamlessly looping version uses CC Sphere, Fractal Noise, Grid, 4-Color Gradient and Trapcode Shine. I’ve added comments to various layers, of particular interest is how to make the Grid effect line up evenly with the block-style Fractal.
Excellent.
This is great
thanx
“Mr. Amazing” strikes again!!! Great job John. This opens the door to a lot of other ideas. THANKS!

Hi Rodo, I’m not sure. Did you delete your preferences and try again? Do you have the correct plug-ins installed?
Thanks so much, this is great. Is there any suggestions on a way I can substitute the shine plugin with the standard effects? Thanks!
Hi Daynor, The CC Radial Fast Blur effect is a good substitute. You could also try CC Radial Blur or just the standard Radial Blur effect set to Zoom.
Hi
I found your rainbow mirror ball image as a .jpg and have used it in combo with a photo of our singing group for a draft of a mardi gras show promo. I just use paintshop pro to do my pathetic efforts at graphics but the 84kb graphic I downloaded is too low res for anything but a little image and the .aep file is a format I cant use (I dont think). Is it possible to get the image as a jpeg but a bit higher res?
Thanks, Cath
Hi,
Id like to use your image as a background for my cd cover. If you can make me a version with the mirrorball the same size but with a much larger canvas I will pay you for it! Let me know. Thanks heaps
