1934 Ford 5 Window Coupe Hot Rod

For my latest personal project I chose a 1934 Ford 5 window coupe hot rod. Modelled in Cinema 4D, unwrapped in RizomUV, textured in Substance Painter, lit and rendered in Redshift3D using Greyscale Gorilla Light Kit Pro 3, comped in After Effects using Red Giant Mojo and BorisFX Sapphire.

You’re taking this thing all the way. Beautiful detail! Are you doing the interior too?

Thanks Mark, I haven’t decided about the interior, I’ll at least do the basic dash, seats and steering wheel.

That’s a shame. Would love to see some tutorials on this. MILG 11 is the only good modeling series for C4D IMO. We need more.

Well, MILG11 does teach you all the techniques needed to do what John is doing here, and he’s posted several video’s and detailed images of the process for this car. Sometimes, there can be too many tutorials and we just need to start working on our own projects 🙂

I’ve been doing it in my spare time and haven’t added up the hours.

Wow, I love this whole thread. Really some of the best modelling in cinema 4D I’ve seen yet. Is this going to be a video tutorial by chance? Thanks for sharing.

    Dear Sir.
Certainly the very best model of a 34 Ford I have seen. Will you be offering the end product for sale?
    Best regards
