The Cleansing Hour

I recently completed my first film titles for The Cleansing Hour, a short film directed by Damien LeVeck. The titles were created using Adobe After Effects, GenArts Sapphire and Red Giant Key Correct. The music was written and produced by Sean Beavan.  Learn more about the film and watch the trailer here.

Awesome work! Did you use pixel sorting for one of the effects?

Thanks Craig, I used simple Displacement Mapping but Pixel Sorting would have been really good here too come to think of it!

    Very original and creative.

I like the combination of Da Vinci’esque images being interweaved with the live footage.

Would be great to see a tutorial of some of the elements as I know a full one would be very time consuming. I’m particularly interested to see how you approached the mixing of still and live images, whether you did it before or after the glitch effect. I use masks and feathe them but often it’s difficult to get a natural look. You have accomplished it nicely.

    Great stuff John.
