    Looks cool!

Although I’m not so sure about the removal of the scrollbar when you have multiple tabs… If I have multiple compositions open that not all fit in the view… it would be the most horrific of solutions to not have scrollbar available.

It’s not as bad as you may think Miika, best to give it a try before you make up your mind perhaps.
      Best, John

Is there any sort of network render options? I just skimmed the release notes and couldn’t find anything about it. network rendering with AE has always been terrible.

Thanks for your updates like this – helps me avoid confusion upon release, and keeps me on my toes. Your videos summarise perfectly and get straight to the point.

Thanks much for the overview John, always helpful. 2 Questions, rumor has it on the Mac side that this update requires YOSEMITE, is this confirmed? Second question, in your overview I see you are running Yosemite, are you on a new Mac Pro cylinder or a Mac Pro Tower. Reason I ask is that i’m about to update my tower to Yosemite and hoping all goes well. Much thanks.

      Hi David,
I’m not 100% sure but have heard nothing that this requires Yosemite. I’ve been using Yosemite for months and have had no problem with it, it’s been much better for me than Mavericks.

      Best, John.

Thanks again John, on an related note, do you or any of your colleagues work with a new Mac Pro. I’m looking for a second machine and thinking the 8 core dual 700 would be a nice traveller. Just looking for real users with decent performance as i know it’s not the ideal these days considering the PC options.

        Your insight greatly valued.

        cheers

          Hi David,
I’m still using a late 2009 Mac Pro! I did demo on one of the new ones at NAB and it seemed pretty zippy.
